Availability Forecasting

Availability forecasting is enabled at the fleet level using the Fleet Administration function, (Setup & Admin > Equipment) > Fleet Administration, by clicking Availability Calculation.

Field	Description
Enable Forecasting Availability	Check this box to enable availability forecasting for this fleet.
Annual Scheduled Hours	Average annual scheduled hours for the equipment (for example 365 days x 24 hours = 8760 hours)
Scheduling Efficiency	A measurement of how efficient the planning process is on site. 100% means that if a number of strategy tasks fall in the same month, all tasks will be performed to occur at the same time. Therefore, there will be only one downtime event, the duration of which is the length of the strategy task with the longest duration. 0% means that the strategy tasks will be performed when they are next scheduled to be performed. No optimisation of downtime is assumed.
Annual Base Downtime (Availability%)	The assumed rate of equipment availability per annum based on what is considered to be achievable targets for a standard maintenance regime.
Task Specific Downtime	Select the task types that should be included in the availability forecast calculation in order to see their impact on standard maintenance practice.

If Task Specific Downtime options are not selected, AMT will forecast availability based on the percentages entered in the Annual Base Downtime table.

If Task Specific Downtime options are selected, the durations of strategy tasks with these task types will be added to the base downtime calculated from the Annual Base Downtime percentages. The result will be a higher downtime.

After the settings have been saved, you can view the availability forecast by running the Forecast Availability report.
