Cost Centre
A cost centre typically refers to an organisational or departmental entity of a company, and exists in the company’s accounting system. For example, a branch or a site might be considered a cost centre. A default cost centre is applied to each equipment, however specific cost centres can be set for each strategy task.
This is one of the key codes used for producing and analysing accounting budgets. The finance group in the company should define these codes.
