Import a GPX file

1. On the Haul Route Analysis tab, click GPX. The Open dialog box displays.
   
2. Find the .gpx file location.
3. Select the file and click Open.

The simplify routine is built in to the import process, so that when you import a GPX file you can remove unnecessary points from the haul route. The horizontal and vertical tolerances describe how far from the centreline between two points a waypoint would have to be for it not to be removed.

4. Click Simplify, then click Import. The imported road displays in the workspace.

   Simplification works for a single length of road. Overlapping sections of road should be removed before importing the GPX file.
