Calculation overview

XERAS contains a spreadsheet-based calculation engine that shares many functional attributes of traditional spreadsheets with some enhancements to give XERAS its unique auditability and versatility.

The calculation engine is used in two alternate processes that provide flexibility to end users and model builders.

1. Automatic calculation - triggers the calculation immediately after a change has been entered into a spreadsheet cell. Available in Use mode.

2. Manual calculation - allows you to choose when and what to calculate on demand. Available in Construct mode and optionally in Use mode. This method calculates all cells within the specified range.
