Model data transfer

The model data transfer feature allows the data elements, specifically any local values and formulas entered into spreadsheet cells, to be copied or synchronised between the "live" data in use mode and the "unpublished" data in Construct mode.

The model data transfer will:

  1. Open a background service and load the "live" model from Use mode.

  2. Copy all local values and formulas from spreadsheet cells.

  3. In the current Construct mode service, paste the local values and formulas into the matching spreadsheet cells.

The process of data synchronisation in this feature relies upon the row and column IDs in Use and Construct modes to find the matching cell location for pasting the live data. For example, if a template or spreadsheet row has been deleted in Construct mode, any live data from the Use mode that originates from that template or spreadsheet row will not find a matching row ID in Construct mode and, therefore, the data will not be written into Construct mode.
