Stockpile creation scripts provide a convenient way to modify the properties of material when it is moved to a stockpile. For example, assume each record in the database contains information about the costs associated with the mining and treatment of the material within it. This would probably be based on the assumption that when the block is mined, it is taken to its ultimate destination. But if the block is mined to a stockpile, some of these costs might not be incurred, but new costs (re-handle) will be introduced. Making changes to account for this sort of issue is a common application for stockpile creation scripts.
To apply a stockpile creation script, the name of the script must simply be entered in the list box provided. The script will only be run when a stockpile record (either a pile or a parcel) is added to the database and it will only execute over the new record.
