Activity Areas tab

The Activity Areas tab lists activity areas and their properties in a grid layout. Each row in the grid represents an activity area and the columns hold the field values.

Selecting rows in the grid will select the areas in the 3D Scene.

Tab menu

The Activity Areas menu above the grid controls the display options for the activity areas.

  Icon Description
1 Activities area visibility Toggle visibility of all activity areas in the 3D Scene.
2 Graphically selected activity areas Toggle to show only scene selected activity areas in the grid.
3 Mining direction Toggle the visibility of mining direction arrows.
4 Key edges Toggle the visibility of activity area key edges.
5 Fill visibility Toggle the visibility of activity area faces.
6 Mining path days

Toggle the visibility of day markers along the selected activity area mining path, for example from 9th to 15th.

7 Export activity areas Export activity areas to file.
8 Display style

The display style for the activity area, .

9 Legend

The legend applied to the activity areas, options include:

Activity - The activity colour as configured in XECUTE Config.

Single Colour - Single selected colour for all areas.

Colour Range - Colours based on the colour range and the Legend Field.

Assigned Resource - The colour of the assigned resource. Resource colour is configured in XECUTE Config > Configuration > Resources

10 Opacity The opacity of activity area faces (all display styles except Polygon).
11 Annotations

Click the annotation icon to make all enabled annotation rules visible in the Scene .

  • Click the dropdown arrow > Annotation Rules to configure a rule or create a new rule.

  • Click the dropdown arrow > select a rule Name to display the annotations in the Scene.

  • For more information see Annotations.

12 Notifications

A yellow notification shows the number of Activity areas that need attention. Mouse over the notification for a summary tooltip, for more details click the Warnings/Schedule Status bar in lower left of the application window.

Grid Fields

The table below describes the Activity Area grid columns.

Field Description
Legend The display colour of the area as set in XECUTE Config > System Configuration > Activities > ActivityActivity Definition > Display Colour.
Activity Area

The name of the area, the name template is set in XECUTE Config > System Configuration > Activities > ActivityActivity Definition > Naming Convention.

Once the name is set from the template, the name is not updated as the template name part variable values change.

Activity The activity type of the area.
Pit The pit associated with the area.
Mining Level The mining level assigned to the area, the list of available levels is determined from the Pit > Mining Level Group property set in XECUTE Config.
Reserve Status

The solid creation and reserving status of the area. Status values include:

  • Edited - the area is currently being edited.
  • Created - solid is created.
  • Generating Surface.
  • Surface Generated.
  • Slicing - creating the area slices.
  • Sliced - activity area slices have been created; this is the end of the solid geometry steps and the start of the dependency calculations.
  • Reserving - the area is reserving against the block model.
  • Evaluated - the reserving results are ready.
  • Error [message] - the area has errors and can not be reserved. If flagged as in error, the area will not be re-reserved by the service unless manually triggered (Re-Reserve).
Dependency Status

The status of the dependency calculation. Status values include:

  • Not Calculated - the dependencies have not been calculated.
  • Calculating - the task dependencies are currently being calculated.
  • Calculated - the dependency calculation is complete and the reserving Status value is up to date.
  • Error - the dependency calculation has failed, or is incomplete.
Import Source The ID of the import source if the area was imported from Guidance, Grade Control or Feature Layers.
Locked Whether or not the area is locked against edits.
Calculation Mode The calculation mode of the area. On Change (default) will automatically update the area reserves, On Demand allows you to manually trigger a reserving operation.
Resources A concatenated list of Resources assigned to the area.
Rate Factor The production rate factor for the activity area. The production rate acting on the area is the sum of (Resource production rate * Activity Area Rate Factor x Resource Period Overrides factor) for each resource assigned to the area.
Delay Until The scheduling start date of the activity area if a Delay Until date is set.
Earliest Start The date when the area is first scheduled to be mined (the start date of first associated task in the Gantt).
Earliest Start Period The period number corresponding to the 'Earliest Start' date
Latest Finish The date when the area has finished scheduling (the end date of last associated task in the Gantt).
Latest Start Period The period number corresponding to the 'Latest Start' date.
Total Completed The percentage of the area that has been mined in the schedule based on the activity quantity field (XECUTE Config > System Configuration > Activities > ActivityActivity Definition > Quantity Field).
Total Remaining The percentage of the area remaining to be mined in the schedule based on the activity quantity field.
Destination Overrides Yes if destination overrides are set for the area.
Dependency Overrides Yes if dependency overrides are set for the area.
GC Intersections The percentage of the activity area that intersects grade control shapes
GradeControl Intersections List of grade control shapes that intersect the activity area.
Principal Fields The system and user defined enabled principal fields for the activity as set in XECUTE Config > System Configuration > Activities > ActivityRelevant Fields.

Filters

The grid can be filtered using the search bar found at the upper right of the tab window - this will filter the activity areas based on a fuzzy text match.

To filter a column on the field values or build filter rules hover over the column header and click the Funnel icon.

Filter rules can also be set for any field by right-clicking a column header > Filter Editor. The filter editor allows for compound filter rules.

Compound filter rules can also be opened by clicking the Pencil icon in the lower left of the grid.

A summary of the applied filters is shown in the lower left of the tab window, turn the filter ON\OFF by clicking the check box to the left of the filter summary.
