Asset table

The Asset Table contains the list of existing capital assets of an operation at the commencement of the planning period. The data is referenced by functions to perform capital-based calculations, such as depreciation and replacement of assets, or calculations relating to the lease of equipment or purchase of equipment using a loan. The asset table must be created as a spreadsheet, or spreadsheets, that can be linked from equipment calculation sheets.

XERAS requires spreadsheets to be specifically linked to the asset table spreadsheet using the Asset Link spreadsheet property. These links will need to be manually created in Construct mode. This also allows sheets from different mine sites to be linked to their respective asset table spreadsheets.

The mandatory columns required in an asset table spreadsheet are described in the table below.

Column Name Description
AssetID The AssetID is a unique identifier for the asset. This could be an asset number from the asset register or an equipment code that is in general use at the operation, for example DOZ12 for dozer 12.
FleetID The FleetID identifies the fleet type of each asset.
nUnits The number of units for each AssetID. Typically one, but can contain the total number of units if using a single row for multiple units of similar age.
AgeYear The age in years of each equipment asset at the commencement of the planning period.
AgeHours The age in machine hours of each equipment asset at the commencement of the planning period.
TaxWDV The taxation written down value for each equipment asset at the commencement of the planning period.
AccWDV The accounting (book) written down value for each equipment asset at the commencement of the planning period.

The columns described in the table below are optional columns for the asset table spreadsheet and are used by equipment leasing calculation functions.

LFlag The lease flag, for example is the equipment asset leased? Yes or No.
LStart The lease start date.
LValue The initial lease value (principal).
LRate The lease interest rate (as an annual percentage).
LResidual The residual lease payment, if any, at the end of the lease.
