The Autoscheduler is an additional module for the XPAC database and scheduling system. This module allows schedules to be created automatically that achieve a user defined set of objectives, while honouring any number of practical mining rules and constraints.
The Autoscheduler cannot be used independently, as it makes extensive use of the XPAC database and the many reporting and visualisation tools that XPAC provides. The module is fully integrated with the package and resources can utilise both standard and automatic scheduling modes in the same schedule.
RPM first developed the Autoscheduler in 1992 as an internal consulting tool and it was released commercially in 1994. Version 7 of the Autoscheduler runs under the Windows environment and was released in January 2000.
The concept of destination scheduling was introduced into all aspects of the package in XPAC 2003, allowing users to schedule where material will be sent to, as well as where it should be mined from.
Manual destination scheduling is available to both standard XPAC and Autoscheduler users. The Advanced Destination Scheduling module expands the facilities of the Autoscheduler, so it can also be used to schedule destinations.
Both the Autoscheduler and the Advanced Destination Scheduling modules are therefore required before destinations can be scheduled automatically, whether the source records are being selected automatically or not.
Details on the XPAC AutoScheduler are available in a separate word document. This document can be opened at any time by selecting Help from the application menu and then select AutoScheduler Users Guide.
You must have a valid licence to run the XPAC AutoScheduler. Please contact RPMGlobal for more information. |
