Records can be created in a Parameters database in the same way they can be created in other types of databases. The most common ways are described below.
• | Manually - Since Parameters databases tend to have only a few levels (one, two or three) it does not take long to create the structure manually. |
• | Import - If the parameters are being transferred into XPAC from a spreadsheet or text file, then it may be most efficient to import the data and create the records at the same time. |
As with other database types, position tables can be used in a Parameters database to ensure records with the same name are located in the same position in level (pil) number. If a position table for a particular level already exists in the Main database, then it can be exported from there and imported into the relevant level in the Parameters database.
