Creating records in a parameters database

Records can be created in a Parameters database in the same way they can be created in other types of databases. The most common ways are described below.

Manually - Since Parameters databases tend to have only a few levels (one, two or three) it does not take long to create the structure manually.
Import - If the parameters are being transferred into XPAC from a spreadsheet or text file, then it may be most efficient to import the data and create the records at the same time.

As with other database types, position tables can be used in a Parameters database to ensure records with the same name are located in the same position in level (pil) number. If a position table for a particular level already exists in the Main database, then it can be exported from there and imported into the relevant level in the Parameters database.
