Determining the scenario start point

Previous topic Next topic

When you make a change to your databases or schedule setup, XPAC will determine where it should set the scenario start point according to the impact of the change. The following table lists potential changes and the corresponding scenario start point that XPAC will use for the schedule recalculation.

Note

If the Main or Calendar database data is modified, manually or by XCM, you must manually change the scenario start point to Initial Status.

If you are not sure of the ramifications of a change that you make to your project, the safest thing to do is to set the Scenario Start Point to the earliest possible place, namely the Initial Status. By doing this all changes will be incorporated in the schedule.
