Min and Max field types are used to display the minimum or maximum value for some other specified data field.

When either Min or Max are selected in the field type window, a field is displayed in the lower half of the window where you should enter the data field for which you require the minimum or maximum. The field is selected from a drop down list of all data fields.

Min and Max data fields will automatically be assigned a zero activity number. The data field of which you are taking the minimum or maximum may have any activity number.

At the lowest level of the database, a field set to minimum or maximum will simply display the value of the requested data field. At upper levels, a field set to minimum or maximum will display the minimum or maximum value of the requested data field for all lower level records under that record.

Data fields which have a zero value may or may not be included in the determination of minimum and maximum, by ticking or unticking the Include Zeros box on the Field Type screen.
