A results database it is used for storing schedule results, but retains the same look and feel as other XPAC databases (main and calendar). The database structure represents the time periods that are being scheduled and the data fields represent the parameters that are reported for each time period.

You do not have to set up a results database like you do a calendar or main database; instead you set up a report writer. XPAC then uses the information in it to create the results database.

There are a number of reasons for sending scheduling information to a results database.

To do further manipulations on the schedule results using XCM;
To graph the schedule results using the database business graphics; or
To report the schedule results using upper level time periods, e.g. summing quarters up to years, etc.
