The bars that are XPAC displays for the specified tasks in the Gantt chart can have some text associated with them. The text position relative to the bar and the bar label options are described below.
The labels that can be put on the bars are as follows.
• | $A for the Activity Name |
• | $R for the Resource Name |
• | $Ln for the Level Name where n is the level number |
• | $S for the Start Date |
• | $F for the Finish Date. |
In the field to the right of Bar Label, enter one of the above codes.
This option is used to limit the number of times a label is displayed on the bars in a Gantt chart. By default, the option will be unticked and therefore not applied. This means that each record will be assigned the specified label each time it is scheduled separately. Roster breaks, roster exceptions and period breaks are not considered as breaks in the record being scheduled.
If this option is ticked on, then there will generally be fewer labels displayed on the Gantt chart. For example, if three records are scheduled consecutively, and the label is the same for all three records, then the label will only be displayed at the start and end of the three records.
