The Gantt Chart Tasks are those tasks that you want to display down the left hand side of the Gantt chart. The first task is displayed on the far left of the chart and then each successive task is displayed to the right of the previous task.
You can specify up to twenty different tasks. Use the up and down arrow keys to select the required number of tasks. As the number of tasks is changed, the number of lines in the table below will be adjusted.
Select the task type from the drop down list. The options are:
• | Resource: the required resources can be specified on the Resources tab. |
• | Level: main database levels. |
• | Class: classified fields. |
• | Activity: the required activities can be specified on the Activities tab. |
The information that is entered in the value column will depend on the Type selected above. For Resource and Activity types there is no entry required in the Value column and it will be displayed as "N/A".
When the Type is set to Level, any of the main database levels names can be selected from the drop down list in the Value column.
When the Type is set to Class, any of the main database classified data fields can be selected from the drop down list in the Value column.
The sorting criteria is used to sort the items in each task type as they are listed down the chart.
You can sort resources and classes in alphabetically order. If you select Ascending, XPAC will list the resources or classifications in alphabetical order. If you select Descending, XPAC will list the resources or classifications in reverse alphabetical order.
You can also sort Resource types in schedule order.
You can sort activities by number or by name. To sort by activity number, select Activity No. Ascending for ascending order or Activity No. Descending for descending order. To sort by activity name, select Alpha Ascending for alphabetical order or Alpha Descending for reverse alphabetical order.
You can sort the records in a level by position number or by record name. To sort by position number, select Position Ascending for ascending order or Position Descending for descending order. To sort by record name, select Alpha Ascending for alphabetical order or Alpha Descending for reverse alphabetical order.
Use the drop-down box to define the level at which records are grouped by date. You can use the adjacent check boxes to set whether or not XPAC will Reuse Row[s] and whether or not XPAC will Place Non-Productive Activities last.
