Top level records

The top level record(s) are stored at Level 0 of each database and you cannot edit, delete, rename or re-position them. There are differences in the top level records for the different database types, as follows:

Main databases - The Main database is the only database that has multiple top level records. They are called Deposit (Pil 1), Stockpiles (Pil 2) and Dumps (Pil 3). This level in the Main database is referred to as the database Section. The Deposit record will always exist, whereas the Stockpile and Dump records may or may not exist, depending on whether you have defined stockpiles and dumps in your project.
Calendar, results and parameter databases - All of the other database types will have a single top level record called Top. It will always exist.

The top level records are used to view the total values contained within that database. For the Main database, there is no way of viewing the total for the database, since it is meaningless to add the different sections together (ie. Deposit, Stockpiles and Dumps). The total for any one section can be viewed however, by selecting that section name in the structure tree. Similarly, the total for a Calendar, Results or Parameter database can be viewed by selecting the record called Top.

Main database sections

In the Main database, the level 0 records are referred to as the database Sections. Each section can have different levels defined, however the data fields will be the same for all sections. The levels for each Main database section are set on the Levels tab in the Project Properties window. This window can be accessed from the menu under File \ Project Properties.

Stockpile section

Note that you can define the number of levels and their names for the Deposit and Dump sections of the Main database, however you cannot define the levels for the Stockpiles section. The levels under the Stockpiles section will always be Stockpile (level 1), Pile (level 2) and Parcel (level 3).
