Cat Service Option Collaborator (SOC)

CAT SOC is only available to AMT-C users.

Caterpillar has released new software to replace Builder G3. The new software is called Service Option Collaborator (SOC).

CAT provides its Dealers with an SOC Server Endpoint address to call their web services, along with their unique dealer client_id and client_secret. The AMT Client Administrator can define SOC Enterprise Endpoint Administrator and SOC Manager groups to maintain the CAT SOC Endpoint Administration and CAT SOC Manager functions, respectively.

Serialised Model

A key change required to enable the usage of SOC was to extend the Model system table to include the following fields:

• Prefix

• Serial Number Begin

• Serial Number End.

Each model can have multiple combinations of the above fields and it's this combination that is used within SOC.

Security Access

There are two levels of access to the SOC Manager function controlled by function access in group permissions function.
