The Animation tab lets you specify options when animating the schedule sequence. You can use this plot to identify schedule conflicts (for example, "underground" mining, too many pieces of equipment in one area, incorrect mining direction, and so on). The table below describes the options available in the Animation tab:

Frame rate

Determines how often the screen refreshes frame to display the progress of the resource path.
 
Note: Changing the frame rate does not speed up the animation. Instead, use the Input Path Animations and Output Path Animations settings to increase the animation speed.

Input Path Animations

Step Duration

Determines the speed of the input path in milliseconds. (The 'step duration' is the time from the beginning of one step to the beginning of the next step.)
 
Note: Each step may only be a percentage of the whole block. A step may also represent an in-path delay. If the animation is displayed for multiple resources, then the input paths for each resource display concurrently.

Animation Icon Annotation

Record Name

Displays the record's name in the animation as it is being animated.

 

Activity Number

Displays each activity's number as it is being animated.

 

Activity Name

Displays each activity's name as it is being animated.

 

Resource Name

Displays each resource's name as it is being animated.

Schedule Status Plots

Update plot status while scheduling

Determines whether XPAC animates the plot while the schedule is running.
 
Note: This option is only active for Schedule Status plots. Selecting this option may affect XPAC's scheduling performance.

 

Update Interval

Determines the intervals at which XPAC updates the plot status.
 
Note: This option is only active for Schedule Status plots.

Output Path Animations

<x> <units> of real time is equal to...
 
<x> <units> of animation time

Determines the speed of the output path in the animation. For example, 10 milliseconds of real time is equal to 2 days of animation time.
