The Annotation tab lets you specify two annotations for a spatial data plot. The table below describes the options in this tab:

Option

Description

Exclude Annotations From Plot

Select this check box to temporarily disable annotations without losing the configuration.

Field/Expression

Specify the database field to use for the annotation. Either:

Format

Click Format to override the default formatting that XPAC applies to the annotation. For example, if you select a database field, XPAC automatically uses the format specified in the data field design. Otherwise, if you use an expression, XPAC displays the necessary decimal points. You can use the same formatting options available for a database data sheet. See Data field formatting for more information.

Alignment

Click Alignment to specify the justification for the annotation, for example, you may want to centre the annotation. By default, the horizontal and vertical alignments are set to Auto so that XPAC will automatically determine the optimum alignment. For example, XPAC will automatically centre a single annotation, and prevent two annotations from overlapping.

Font

Click Font to specify the font for the annotation.

Colour

Click Colour to specify font colour for the annotation.

Scale font with zoom level

Scales the size of the annotation in relation to the zoom level.

Specify the orientation of the annotation text in degrees. You can either:
