When you create a new XPAC project, you can either:

select a blank project to create a project from scratch; or
base your project on another XPAC project.

After creating a project, you can import raw data into a database, for example, the main database.

To create an XPAC project from a blank file:

1.Select File > New > Blank Project. The Create Project window displays.
2.Navigate to the folder in which you want to save the project.
3.Type a name for the project file.
4.Click Save. The project setup wizard displays.
5.Complete each page of the project setup wizard as required:
Titles
Levels
Data Field Import
Initial Data Fields
6.Click Finish.

XPAC saves and opens the blank project.

To create an XPAC project from another project:

1.Select File > New > Based upon Template. The Create Project window displays.
2.Navigate to the folder in which you want to save the project.
3.Type a name for the project file.
4.Click Save. A Windows Explorer window displays.
5.Navigate to the folder containing the XPAC project that you want to base your new project on.
6.Select the file and click Open.

XPAC saves and opens the new project. All project data is copied to the new project (excluding main database records and associated data).
