If the file type has been set to delimited, the second window of the Database Export Template is where the delimiters are defined, as shown below.

Delimiters

The delimiter is the character that will be used to separate the data in the export file. The delimiter can be set to Tab, Semicolon, Space, Comma or Other. If the delimiter is set to Other, then the character should be entered in the field on the right.

Text qualifier

The Text Qualifier is a single character that is placed around a text field that is written to the export file. Text fields will include Classified fields and Note fields. The Text Qualifier can be selected from the drop down list or the character can be typed into the field.

File preview

In the centre of the Delimiter window, the name of the selected export file is displayed. Underneath the name, a preview of the file is provided. If the file does not exist, then the preview will be blank.

Load/save template

The current template can be saved or an existing template can be loaded from the delimiter window.

When you have finished setting the delimiters, click the Next button to proceed to the Field Setup window.
