After importing spatial data from geological modelling programs, you may need to export the data set so that you can transfer it to another XPAC project. This prevents you from needing to reimport the data from an external file.
Importing XPAC spatial data sets
You can import an XPAC spatial data set that you exported from another XPAC project.
1. | Select View > Spatial Data Sets. The Spatial Data Sets window displays. |
2. | Click Import. A Windows Explorer window displays. |
3. | Navigate to the folder containing the XPAC Template file (*.tpl) that you want to import. |
|
XPAC only recognises XPAC Template Files (*.tpl).
|
4. | Select the file and click Open. |
XPAC imports the spatial data set.
Exporting XPAC spatial data sets
After using spatial data plots to generate visual representations of the data in your XPAC project, you may need to export a data set so that you can import it into another project.
1. | Open the Select View > Spatial Data Sets. The Spatial Data Sets window displays. |
a. | Select the data set that you want to export and click Export > <spatial data set name>; or |
b. | Click Export > All Spatial Data Sets. |
3. | Navigate to the folder in which you want to save the exported file. |
4. | Type a name for the file. |
XPAC saves the file as an XPAC Template File (*tpl). If required, you can now import the data set into another XPAC project.
