When you move data fields in your database, the existing data remains attached to the existing data fields. The only thing that will change is the data field numbers.

To move data fields within your database, you should access data field design. It is possible to move either one or a number of consecutive data fields at once. The move is carried out by cutting and then inserting the data fields.

Cut

To cut the data fields, highlight the ones that you want to move by clicking the data field number. There are two ways to cut data fields.

1.Right-click the highlighted area and then select Cut Row (Incl. data) from the pop up menu.
2.Select Edit from the application menu and then Cut Rows (Incl. data) from the drop-down menu.

Insert cut rows

The insert cut rows option will paste the cut data fields in between the existing data fields. None of the existing data fields or data will be lost.

To do this, move to the data field above which you want to insert the cut rows and click on the data field number. There are two ways to insert the cut data fields.

1.Right-click the highlighted area and then select Insert Cut Rows (Incl. data) from the pop up menu.
2.Select Edit from the application menu and then Insert Cut Rows (Incl. data) from the drop-down menu.
