Position Tables

It is often useful for reserve units within a particular level to occur in a pre-defined order within the level. To ensure this order is maintained when a reserve is imported, a position table can be defined for each database level.

The position table provides a mapping between the name of each reserve unit (its record name) and the position it must occupy within the level (its position in level number or PIL number)

Before a levels position table can be used, it must be activated. If records already exist at a level for which a position table is activated, XPAC will scan the database to ensure the records match the position table.
