In an XPAC schedule, material is moved from a source to a destination. The source may be the deposit or a stockpile and the destination may be a stockpile or a dump. All sources and destinations within an XPAC project (namely the deposit, stockpiles and dumps) are represented by hierarchical records in the Main database.

Deposit records can only be scheduled from.

- They are Source records only.

Stockpile records can be scheduled from or dumped to. * *

- They can be Source or Destination records.

Dump records can only be dumped to. * *

- They are Destination records only.

You are able to store multiple dumps in the Main database and each dump will typically be divided into smaller units (though it doesn't have to be). All dumps within a project must have the same hierarchical level names, however the dump levels can be different to the deposit levels (and usually are).

Within the Dump section of the Main database, Level 1 is used to define the dump names. The other levels may define such units as dump lifts, blocks, stages, etc. Dump records are set up in the same way as deposit records. They can be manually created, however it is more common to import the dump record data. Click here for information on how to create and define dumps.

The dump in the cross section below has been divided into Lifts and Blocks. In the Dump section of the Main database, the level names for this dump would be Dump, Lift and Block.
