Database records can be one of two types, namely lowest level records or upper level records.
Data is stored in the lowest level records, so they when these records are viewed, the data will always be current.
The data for upper level records is calculated using the data in the lowest level records beneath. If the lowest level record data is modified (by XCM or import), then the upper level record data is not automatically recalculated. This has been done on purpose, as the recalculation may take significant time for very large databases. Upper level data can be manually recalculated in a number of ways. Upper level records and data that require recalculation is displayed in particular ways (for example, red, strike-through or question mark).
Upper Level Records are indicated by an asterisk after the record name in the Data Sheet, e.g. West Pit *.
