There are two mining directions that can be specified and they are both assigned in the Productive Activities window for each activity. The two mining directions are used on Mine Status, Period Progress and Animated spatial data plots to determine the shaded area for partially mined activities in records.
The mining direction fields can be set to a fixed number, or they can point to a database data field in your Main database. The data field can be selected from the drop down list or you can type in the reference (e.g. M(34) or M(mWstMin_Dir)). The mining directions can also be an expression that includes both constants and data field references (e.g. M(mAnnot_Dir)+90).
The two mining directions are as follows:
• | X-Y Mining Direction - This is the mining direction in the X-Y plane. It represents an angle in degrees where North is zero degrees and the angle is clockwise from North. The mining direction can be a positive or negative number where 270 degrees is equivalent to -90 degrees. East would be entered as 90 degrees, South as 180 degrees and West as 270 degrees. |
• | Z Mining Direction - This is the mining direction in the Z plane. It represents the angle in degrees from the horizontal (or X-Y plane). Vertically upwards would be input as 90 degrees, level with the X-Y plane would be input as 0 degrees and vertically downwards would be input as -90 degrees. |
Each of the productive activities are listed in this window in numeric order. In addition, there is a line before the productive activities for dumping. This is used to input the mining direction for dumping. Both of the angles described above can be input for dumping. These mining directions will be used when the filling of dump blocks is plotted on your spatial data plots.
