The tools on the 3D Graphics toolbar also let you rotate and pan the spatial data so that you can view it from other angles, or view it as a 3D object. For example, you may want to view blocks that you cannot see when viewing the plot in a top (plan) view.

You can return to the top view at any time in the 3D Scene by:

To rotate a spatial data plot:
1. | Rotate the spatial data plot. Either: |
a. | Select a preset rotation option: |
i. | Select Graphics > Orientation, then select an option, for example: |
• | Top or Bottom to display the plot using the XY plane; |
• | Front or Back to display the plot using the XZ plane; |
• | Right or Left to display the plot using the YZ plane; or |
• | Isometric to display a 3D view of the plot. |
b. | Use the mouse to rotate the plot: |
i. | Right-click and hold anywhere in the 3D Scene. |
ii. | Drag the cursor in any direction to achieve the rotation that you want. |
c. | Use the toolbar button and mouse to rotate the plot: |
ii. | Click and hold anywhere in the 3D Scene. |
iii. | Drag the cursor in any direction to achieve the rotation that you want. |

If you are finding it difficult to control the rotation of the plot using the mouse, you may want to restrict the rotation to a single plane by only moving the mouse in straight lines.

d. | Use the arrow keys. Press: |
i. | up and down arrows to rotate the plot around the X axis |
ii. | Page Up and Page Down to rotate the plot around the Y axis |
iii. | left and right arrows to rotate the plot around the Z axis. |
To pan a spatial data plot:
2. | Drag and drop the plot anywhere in the 3D Scene. |

Depending on your scroll wheel configuration, you may also be able to click and hold the scroll wheel to pan a spatial data plot.
