Zooming in and out in a spatial data plot

Use the zooming tools on the 3D Graphics toolbar to zoom in and out on areas that you want to view in your spatial data plot.

Note

You can return to the top view at any time in the 3D Scene by:

clicking Top View on the 3D Graphics toolbar; or
pressing Esc.

To zoom in/out in the 3D Scene:

1.Either:
a.Use your mouse wheel to zoom in and out; or
b.Click Zoom / Zoom Out on the 3D Graphics toolbar, then:
i.To zoom in, click the area you want to view. Each time you click, the 3D Scene zooms in further.
ii.To zoom out, press Ctrl and click anywhere in the 3D Scene. Each time you click, the 3D Scene zooms out further.

Using a preset zoom factor

You can also use one of the preset options from the drop-down button on the 3D Graphics toolbar to zoom to specific areas of your spatial data plot in the 3D Scene:

The button that displays depends on the selection that you last used, for example, Zoom to Selected.

Fits the whole spatial data plot neatly inside the 3D Scene.

3D Graphics Toolbar - Zoom To Selected

Zoom to Selected

Zooms into selected block/s.

3D Graphics Toolbar - Zoom To Visible

Zoom to Visible

Zooms to only those block/s that are visible in the spatial data plot (i.e. hidden blocks will not be included).

3D Graphics Toolbar - Zoom To All

Zoom to All

Zooms to the extents of the plot, including any feature layers.
