Fields toolbar

The Fields toolbar lets you control which records display in the data sheet:

Data field displays can be useful for filtering data in a very large database. For example, you may want to use a data field display that only displays coal quality data, scheduling data, cost data, and so on. You can also use data field displays to control data fields that are printed from the database.

The data field display toolbar is made up of two components:

•	Fields button.

•	drop-down list.

Fields button

Clicking Fields displays the Field Selection window, letting you select, create, delete, edit and rename data field displays. See Field Selection window for more information.

You can also access the Field Selection window by selecting Edit > Fields.

Drop-down list

The data field display drop-down list displays the data field display that is currently being used to display data in the data sheet. You can select a data field that you previously created, or create a new data field display.

To change the data field display:

1.	On the Fields toolbar, either:

a.	Select a data field display from the drop-down list; or

b.	Open the Field Selection window:

i.	Click Fields.

ii.	Select the data field display that you want to use.

iii.	Click Activate.

The data sheet displays the fields selected in the data field display.
