This topic deals with database reports as available from the Database Reports menu option or toolbar button. You can also produce database reports with analysis Reporting.

You can access database reports via the View > Database Reports option on the application menu or the Database Reports toolbar button. Either choice will display a window containing the current list of all database report templates. This includes Business Graphs, Cross Tab Reports, Cumulative Frequency Reports and Histogram Reports.

From this window you are able to generate a database report and create, edit, delete, rename and copy database report templates.

Generating a report

To generate a report you will need to highlight an existing report in the list and then click Select to run the report. XPAC will display the report in a window from where you can print it.

Creating a report

To create a new report click New. XPAC will display a window listing the types of reports that can be created. Highlight the relevant type in this list and click OK to proceed. You should now type a name for the report template. XPAC will display the appropriate report template and you can edit the options.

Editing a report

To edit an existing report, select the report name and click Edit. The report options will be displayed for editing.

Deleting a report

To delete a report from the list, select that report and click Delete. You will be asked to confirm that you have selected the correct report for deletion.

Renaming a report

A report can be renamed by selecting the report name in the list and then clicking Rename. Type the new name for the report.

Copying a report

If you want to create a new report that will be similar to an existing report, then you need to copy and then edit an existing report. To copy a report, select the report from the list and then click Copy. The copied template will be called "Copy of {old template name}", however you are given the option to enter a new name.
