The Scheduling tab lets you determine where to retrieve scheduling information from, and which activities to include in the plot.

Note

The options that display on this tab depend on the plot type that you select. If you select the Database plot type, the options on this tab will be unavailable.

Section

Option

Purpose

Obtain Scheduling Information From

Scenario

Specify the scenario to use when generating the plot.

Note: This drop-down list is only active for Mine Status or Period Progress plots. You must select the active scenario from the list, otherwise XPAC will not generate the plot. This prevents you from generating misleading results from a scenario that is not currently active.

Resource

Specify the resource to use when generating the plot. You can either select:

All to include all available resources
a single resource from the list, for example, Ore Miner
resources that you want to include:
1.Select Multiple. The Select Multiple Resources window displays. Either:
a.Press and hold Ctrl, then select each resource; or
b.Click Select All.
2.Click Select.

Note: This drop-down list is only active for Period Progress plots. Only resources set up in the selected scenario display in the list.

Select which constraints to include when displaying a task as constrained

N/A

Select each constraint that you want to include when displaying tasks as constrained for the Schedule Status plot type.

Note: This option is only active for the Schedule Status plot.

Activities

Exclude legend from plots

Select this check box to exclude only the activity legend from the generated plot.

Note: This option is only active for the Period Progress plot.

Exclude legend from plots if only one activity included

Select this check box to exclude only the activity legend from the generated plot if you have only included one activity (a legend may be unnecessary).

Note: This option is only active for the Period Progress plot.

Allow use of hatching for shading (forces single activity)

Select this check box to enable shading for a single activity. You can then specify the hatch patterns and background colour in the period legend.

Note: This option is only active for the Period Progress plot. If you select this option, XPAC will only let you select one activity to include in the plot.

Activities grid

The grid that displays in the Activities section of the Scheduling tab lets you determine which activities are included in the spatial data plot. When using a Period Progress plot, it also determines the hatch pattern for activities in the plot.

Note

The columns that display in the activities grid depend on the plot type that you select.

Column

Purpose

Legend Title

Defines the description that displays for each item in the legend (usually the name of the activity).

Note: This column only displays for the Period Progress plot.

Activity

Lists the activities in the current project.

Hatch

Displays the hatch pattern assigned to each activity. If required, change the hatch pattern by clicking the cell of the activity that you want to change, and make changes in the Hatch Pattern window.

Note: This column only displays for the Period Progress plot. The activity can only use the hatch pattern, as the background colour determines the time period.

Include

Indicates whether the activity is included in the plot. Click in the Include column for each activity that you want to include. To remove an activity, click the cell again.

Information

XPAC displays Activity groups below the thick black line in the Activities grid. Click in the Include column for each activity group that you want to include.

To specify the hatch pattern:

1.In the Hatch Pattern window, click the hatch pattern that you want to use from the Hatch Style section. The Transparent background check box becomes available.
2.If you want to use a solid background, deselect the Transparent background check box. The Background Colour button becomes available.

Information

Otherwise, leave the check box selected if you want to use a transparent background.

3.If required, click Background Colour to choose a colour for the background from the colour palette.
4.Click OK.

Note

If you are specifying shading for a Period Progress plot, then XPAC will split the hatch pattern between time periods and activities for each block. Time periods will use the foreground colour, while activities will use the background colour. (When you access the Hatch Pattern window from the Shading tab, XPAC will only let you edit the foreground colour, whereas when you access the Hatch Pattern window from the Scheduling tab, XPAC will only let you edit the hatch style and the background colour.)
