Using the Tools in the Preview Window

You can use the buttons in the 3D Scene to control the way the preview of the feature layer displays. For example, you can rotate, pan and zoom. The table below describes the buttons available in the 3D Scene:

3D Graphics Toolbar - Zoom

Zoom / Zoom Out

Lets you zoom in or out in the preview window.

3D Graphics Toolbar - Pan

Pan

Lets you move the preview in any direction without changing the angle or zoom.

3D Graphics Toolbar - Rotate

Rotate

Lets you rotate the preview to view it from other angles.

3D Graphics Toolbar - Top View

Top View

Returns the preview to a top (plan) view.

Zoom to Extents button

Zoom to Extents

Fits the whole preview neatly inside the window.

 

Lighting

Toggles lighting on/off in preview.

Note

You may want to set the default lighting settings so that the preview in the 3D Scene displays depth.
