The Views toolbar lets you select a preset view consisting of ranges, fields and scenarios to control the records that display in the data sheet:

Click Views to create or view the views that you previously created (see To create a view for more information), or select a view from the drop-down list.

Note

XPAC does not display the Views toolbar by default. To select the toolbar select View > Toolbars > Database Views.

To create a view:

1.Click Views. The View Manager window displays. Either:
a.Click New to create a new entry; or
b.Click Copy to copy an existing entry.
2.Type a name for the view in the View Name field.
3.Specify each property that you want to assign to the view:
a.Select the Range that you want to use in the view (see Ranges toolbar for more information). If required, click Ranges to create a new range (see Range Selection window for more information).
b.Select the Fields to use in the view (see Fields toolbar for more information). If required, click Fields to create a new field template (see Field Selection window for more information).
c.Select the Scenario (and if required, the period) that you want to use in the view (see Scenario toolbar for more information).
4.If required, specify the level at which you want the view to display data:
a.Select the Display at level check box.
b.Select the level that you want to use from the drop-down list.
5.If required, select the Display Debug Information check box if you want XPAC to display debug information.
6.If required, overwrite the default titles that XPAC uses when printing reports (see Titles for more information).
7.Click Activate.

XPAC activates the view and displays it in the View drop-down list.

Note

You may need to click away from the current tab for the view to display in the drop-down list.

Managing views

You may need to manage the views that you previously created, for example, if you no longer use a particular view, or you want to use an existing view as a template for a new view.

To manage views:

1.Click Views. The View Manager window displays.
2.Select the view that you want to manage. Either:
a.Click Copy to duplicate the view. The new view displays in the Views list. Make changes to the view as required.
b.Click Delete to remove the view from your XPAC project. The view will no longer display in the Views drop-down list.
3.Click Close.

Note

You may need to click away from the current tab for changes to be reflected in the drop-down list.
