You can perform a number of tasks from the Path Transfer View, for example, you can transfer selected block/s to a path, or change data field values in the Main database. The table below describes the options and buttons available in the Path Transfer View:

Option

Description

Example

Activity drop-down list

Lets you specify the activity/ies to transfer records to. If you set the activity to All, XPAC inserts records into the path of each activity. In this case, a single record in the Path Transfer View may result as multiple steps in the path. Otherwise, you can select a productive activity from the drop-down list to insert records into a single path.

Note: Only productive activities in the selected Path View scenario display in the list.

Hide Current Selection check box

Lets you hide block/s that you selected in the spatial data plot (that display in the Path Transfer View). You can select this check box multiple times to achieve different outcomes:

Deselected:

Selected once (mixed state check box displays):

Selected twice (tick displays):

Deselected - selected block/s display according to the selection indicator that you define in the 3D Graphics Settings window:

Selected once - selected block/s display in wireframe (outlines are still visible, except on a black background):

Transfer to Input Path / Dump Path / Preschedule / Mined Out Quantities

Note: The name of this button depends on which path type you selected.

After selecting a resource in the Path View, you can click Transfer to <path> to transfer records in the Path Transfer View to the path for the resource. XPAC inserts the records where your cursor is positioned in the path. If you have not positioned your cursor anywhere, XPAC inserts the records at the end of the path.

Only Transfer Non-Empty Tasks (ZTDF & ADF) check box

Select this check box to filter out any tasks that have a zero quantity in either the Zero Test Data Field or Accumulation Data Field for any resources in the current scenario.

Only Transfer Activities for Active Resource check box

Select this check box to filter out any tasks where the activity cannot be performed by the active resource (whose input path is currently being edited).

Create Section with name check box and text box

Once this check box is selected, any tasks picked will be grouped under the section name entered in the text box.

Note: Once the selected tasks have been transferred to the nominated input path, the next set of tasks selected will be grouped under another section of the same name.

Navigate To

If required, you can navigate to the selected record in another part of the product, for example, the Main database.

1.Select the record that you want to view.
2.Right-click and select Navigate To, then select either:
oRecord in Main Database to view the record in the Main database
oRecord in Combined Output Path to view the record in the Schedule Combined Output Path window
oRecord in Dependencies View to view the record in the Dependency Rule View
oRecord in Spatial Data View to open the Edit Spatial Data window so that you can edit the record's spatial data set, if required.

Displaying additional data field columns

By default, only the Name and Percent of each record displays in the Path Transfer View data sheet. If required, you can display additional main database data columns by selecting a data field display from the Fields toolbar.

Note

If you change the percentage for a record, then the data field value displayed will be for that percentage rather than the whole record.

Editing data field values

Warning

RPM recommends exercising caution when editing data field values, as XPAC immediately overwrites any existing values in the Main database.

To edit data field values:

1.Right-click the Path Transfer View and deselect Read-only. The data sheet is now in edit mode.
2.Type new values in the data fields as required.
3.When complete, right-click the Path Transfer View and select Read-only.

The data sheet is now in read-only mode.
